THE TEAM

Dr.-Ing. Sebastian Wels
Dr. Wels studied electrical engineering (power engineering) at the University of Kassel until 2014. He then completed his doctorate in the field of systems and high-voltage engineering. Since 2020, he has been Managing Director of CRW Engineering and supervises the Department of Systems and High Voltage Engineering at the University of Kassel as a substitute professor. His areas of expertise include materials research, the ageing behavior of electrical insulating materials, partial discharge detection and electrical field simulations.
Managing Director

Tobias Raulf
Tobias Raulf is one of the three founders of CRW Engineering. He completed his electrical engineering studies at the University of Kassel. This is also where the paths of the three CRW founders first crossed. During his time as a research assistant in the field of systems and high-voltage engineering, he specialized in the detection and localization of partial discharges, particularly in the optical detection of gas discharges.
Research Assistant

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Albert Claudi
Prof. Claudi studied and completed his doctorate at RWTH Aachen University. He began his professional career in 1985 at AEG in Frankfurt in the area of system planning. From 1990 to 1998, he was Head of Development and Deputy Managing Director at Haefely AG in Basel, Switzerland. From 1998 to 2000, he was Head of Research and Development at Raychem GmbH/ Tyco Electronics Energy Division with locations in Germany, USA, England and France. In 2000, he became a university professor in the field of systems and high-voltage engineering at the University of Kassel. After retiring from active service, he co-founded CRW-Engineering UG and is a member of the management board.
Member of the Management Board

Christian Hüther
After successfully completing his master's degree in electrical engineering at the University of Kassel in 2022, Christian Hüther initially gained experience in the energy sector as a project manager before joining CRW. Here he began working as a project engineer and at the same time started his doctorate at CRW. His focus is on semiconductor power electronics, particularly in the field of high voltage.
